A dramatic thunderstorm rolling in.

I've been caught in my fair share of dramatic thunderstorms on the wide-open stretches of Texas countryside between Austin, Dallas, and Houston. Truth be told, I'm not much a fan of driving in torrential downpours, but I do love wide-open horizons and watching the change in weather roll through.

With many of these big storms, the contrast between the deep, dark storm clouds and the intensely bright, crisp sunlight and clear blue skies always strike me.

If you look one way and see blue skies ahead, you'd never expect the storm that's about to stir things up.

A bit like what we've experienced this year.
