The inspiration for The Quiet Before arose from a quiet drive through the Texas countryside where the rolling hill country meets the flat prairie lands.
A bright overcast day evolved into a dark and beautiful storm. The temperature dropped, the wind smelled of rain, and the birds grew quiet as the clouds danced through the sky.
The quiet was gone as pitter-patter of rain began, and the thunder rolled on.
