Looking up at the clouds from directly below conjures a nostalgic feeling of laying in the grass and gazing up to daydream.

Distilled down, clouds are just light reflecting off water. They represent a moment of reflection and exploration of inner worlds.

The act of looking up activates dopamine. Neuroscientists refer to it as the "molecule of more." Dopamine helps us achieve those dreams.

When the painting is complete the tape is removed, revealing a neon base layer. It symbolizes the bright and hidden things within, waiting to shine through.

Geometric shapes juxtapose with the soft and organic clouds. This contrast emphasizes the tension between who we are and what we are capable of becoming.

Sold at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center’s Arts for Advocacy fundraiser on September 10, 2022 and raised $4,300 for an incredible cause. It was on display at Northpark Mall Preview Exhibit from August 9 through September 6, 2022.
